Yoga on and off the mat
Hello, I'm Rose. I’ve been doing yoga on and off since I was 18. I’ve abandoned it for weeks, months, sometimes years, but I’ve always come back to it. I guess mostly for the savasana. I studied with Yandara for my 200 hour teacher training and feel like I finally understand the practice of yoga on and off the mat. If you're curious at all about yoga teacher training, check out my story. We all start with our asana practice, learning to ground through our mountain pose and learning to meditate through the tension in our warrior poses. We learn to balance, to be strong yet flexible. We learn to surrender in savasana. But we usually lose it all the minute we step off the mat.
I love movement and I love to challenge myself. I have done 2 marathons, I'm a certified spin instructor, and I have been teaching pilates at Core40 for 4 years. So my preferred practice is a version of hatha/vinyasa yoga. As a teacher, I want to create a safe space where you can play and be challenged. I treat every class as a chance to explore your body and what's possible today. At the end of my class, I hope you leave feeling calm, centered, and powerful. Most importantly, I want to help you keep that feeling when you step off the mat. We'll spent the time to not only get you stronger, more balanced, and flexible. But finding ways to take that feeling into your life, your relationships, and your work.
I am currently giving private yoga lessons in SF area. Whether you're a beginner looking for guidance or looking for help deepening your practice, I'm happy to help.
